Tyn Cornel Hostel has a new wood-burning stove and stone fireplace fitted in time for the 2017 winter. This simple hostel in the remote Elenydd Valley will now be much warmer in winter. Tyncornel Youth Hostel has been a traditional simple hostel for many years, offering accommodation as a valued part of the YHA network. In May 2017, the Youth Hostel Association cut ties with Tyn Cornel, together with many other remote hostels and camping barns. Tyn Cornel hostel now offers comfort and company to walkers and cyclists as part of the Independent Hostels UK network.
