At Ilderton Dod Barns, the weather this week has been ideal for making hay and silage to feed our cattle and sheep all winter long. We’ve put in some long days cutting, drying, baling and wrapping.
There’s not a lot of conservable grass on our hill farm but the fields that we can use for hay and silage are close to the holiday accommodation – near enough to watch, far enough away to allow you to relax. But don’t worry, on the days when the weather stops hay making, we still have about 1500 sheep wandering around the place, plus 2 horses and 100 cattle!
We are fully booked in August but have availability from 4th September.
