Tour the islands of Lewis and Harris

Laxdale Bunkhouse In Lewis, the northern part of the island, provides a perfect base.

A visit to Lewis and Harris is like stopping time still in the middle of a long and legend filled story. The Callanish Standing Stones  in Lewis are like a natural stone feature, surly not the work of man.  The history of the stones and mankind life on the island can be found at The Blackhouse, the Shawbost Norse Mill and Kiln, and the Carloway Brock.  Or you can take a boat trip over to the volcanic islands of St. Kilda when villagers struggled to survive massive infant mortality and finally left the island at the start of  the last century.
