Cote Ghyll Mill, started life as a hostel in 1934 but closed again in 1940. After a gap of some 40 years it opened again as a youth hostel in 1980. It was sold into private ownership and now runs as Cote Ghyll Mill affiliated to the YHA as Osmotherly Youth Hostel. In 2013 it joined our network of Independent Hostels.
