This is how far you need to step off the path to stay and rest your weary legs at Alston Youth Hostel!
You’ve walked a long way up hills and down dales and probably experienced some challenging weather and boggy bits along the way so why walk any further? We have comfy beds in centrally heated rooms, fantastic hot showers, a drying room for any wet clothes and boots or tents, a self catering kitchen and a cosy, comfy lounge to sit in and relax with a book or a beer! You may also meet fellow walkers to chat to and compare notes!
If you don’t want to cook your own food there are places to eat and a well stocked supermarket just down the lane.
In the morning we can serve you a delicious hot breakfast from 7:30am (because we know you have places to go!)
The Pennine Way is 268 miles long and The Pennine Journey is 247 miles long so that’s a lot of accommodation required along the way! Hostels make a great, cheaper alternative to B&Bs/hotels and are a bit more comfy than a tent! Make us part of your Long Distance journey in 2024!
