The centre has recently been undergoing the first phase of renovations with more in the coming months to cater for, what is at the heart of the charity, young carers.
The MyTIME Outdoor Centre is run to provide short respite breaks for those young people who do not get a break very often from caring for a loved one. When not used by young carers the centre is available to other groups. Come and stay, and while you are enjoying this great value accommodation in a fabulous location you will also be helping support future holidays for young carers.
The MyTIME outdoor centre is located in the heart of the Purbeck Hills in Worth Matravers, Dorset. It offers a safe base for up to 24 people (inside), with scope for a further 16 camping with indoor facilities for cooking, dining and washrooms. At its heart is a log burner for those cosy evenings in a large sitting area and dormitory-style bedrooms which make it an ideal location/venue for small school groups.
Around the area is the Jurassic coastline (just a 20 minute walk) with plenty of scope for learning about where country meets the sea. We are very popular with geographical groups, as well as those in search of adventure and “on the water” activities, such as rock-climbing and canoeing. For cyclists, Kingston Hill poses an enjoyable challenge with terrific views of Corfe Castle.
Corfe Castle is a 10 minute drive away if history is the theme, and the seaside towns of Swanage and Bournemouth are also close by. The Swanage Steam Railway is a focal point and a step back in time for enthusiasts.
