There is an aquarium in the harbour and the Tunnels Beaches ( a short walk away) have some of the best rock pooling in the country and a fascinating Victorian history. Ilfracombe has a lot of history from tales of smugglers and pirates to the grand old days in Victorian times when holiday makers would flock to Ilfracombe by train and breathe in the fresh sea air!!
