Despite our proximity to the Ingram Valley 3 miles away, Ilderton Dod Barns is like a different world. Your only neighbours will be the couple who rent the cottage, plus sheep, cattle, deer, curlews, grouse and of course the cuckoo which one of our cottages is named after! Our 1.5 mile long drive is accessible by car but if you prefer to walk or cycle, you will find several routes that bring you to the doorstep.
Once you arrive, we have lockable storage for up to 10 bikes (soon to have wash and charging facilities) and a log burner in each cottage to make sure your kit is dry for the next adventure. We welcome dogs (up to 3 in The Barn and up to 2 in the cottage) and owners often comment that their pooches enjoy the freedom and fresh air as much as they do. Hopefully if the good weather continues you will be able to make use of our outdoor seating, barbecue and fire brazier while gazing out over Northumberland National Park. By night, stargazing is second to none in the UK as measurements show we have a particularly good light-meter reading even compared to the rest of the International Dark Sky Park.
We currently have plenty of availability in The Barn from now on, and in the cottage from the start of July.
