As a result of COVID 19, we have made a few changes to enable social distancing and enhanced our health and hygiene procedures.
Our aim has always been to provide affordable clean accommodation for our guests with your safety and comfort in mind. We are able to offer all of our en-suite rooms for exclusive use and have restructured our room pricing based on the number of occupants travelling together. There is a flat fee for the room hire, plus a charge per berth occupied. The whole hostel can also be booked for exclusive use for up to 16 people. We have introduced a reduced fee for smaller family groups of up to 10 people.
Exclusive hostel hire will have full use of the kitchen facility and 24hr access. Booking can be made online via our website or by telephoning us directly on 01680812043. If you are travelling on the Oban – Craignure route it is highly advisable to book your space on the ferry.
We have contactless check in procedures in place.
Due to government advice our self catering facility is not open for individual room bookings. Complimentary starter pack with tea/coffee, milk and sugar is provided for each room along with facilities for making hot drinks. We have a lovely pub right next door that serves food and can also offer breakfast if pre-booked the night before.
We have reduced the number of tables in the Communal room, giving more space between 3 defined areas of soft seating to allow for social distancing measures.
Our team have stepped up their cleaning regime to even higher levels in all areas, to facilitate this, we request that the premises are fully vacated by 10.00, and will not allow re-entry before 4.00. Guests who hire the hostel for exclusive use have secure 24hr access with staff on hand if required.
We are using steam cleaners on all soft furnishings and W H O recommended antibacterial products on high touch areas such as light switches and door handles. There are extra supplies of disposable hand towels, hand sanitiser and cleaning products throughout the building
While these are the most significant changes, guests will be briefed on others, and specific procedures, on arrival.
