No joking! Laggan Village Hall, in the Cairngorms National Park, offers basic camping style accommodation in it’s main hall to individuals, families and groups of up to 25, (BYO sleeping mat and bedding). Stay for just £15 per person per night. That’s cheaper than lots of campsites. In Laggan Village Hall there’s a fully equipped kitchen, showers & WC’s, and a locked place for bikes. So no more wet feet, soggy sleeping bags and miserable damp mornings trying to cook breakfast.
Situated in the sleepy village of Laggan Bridge, the village shop and cafe are just down the road and a short drive takes you to the local hotel which has a lovely bar and restaurant. With fantastic walking on the doorstep and the Laggan Wolftrax mountain bike centre just down the road, it’s popular with groups of outdoor enthusiasts. Especially as the Scottish National Trail passes through the village and the Great North Trail goes close by.
