They were converted from Isolated farmhouses in the 1930’s. Situated near or on old drovers’ roads in wild and stunningly beautiful Cambrian Mountains. These former YHA simple hostels will take you back in time. Dolgoch Hostel has no electricity with soft LED lights the only form of lighting and a large wood burner for heating.
Dolgoch is an “off-grid” hostel with a solar-powered hot water system and solar-powered LED lights. Dolgoch fitted a wood-burning stove and stopped burning coal almost a decade ago.
