Explore the ‘Dolphin coast’ from The Sail Loft.
Some of my favourite things in the world are quoted by the website of The Sail Loft (on the Moray Firth Coast): “rugged natural beauty, an abundance of wildlife, historic castles, whisky trails”. The Sail Loft itself is a long, long building right on the coast. It has been beautifully renovated and modernised from what was, by all accounts, a wreck. The sleeping, catering and social accommodation is what my son would admiringly call, “A bit fancy-dancy!”
This bit of coast is sometimes known as Scotland’s Dolphin Coast, which gives a bit of a pointer for the wildlife. I also counted ten distilleries close by, not to mention all the amazing scenery to explore. I think it sounds like a great place and The Sail Loft is an ideal base to head out from and to look forward to returning to.
