Hagg Farm Outdoor Education Centre near Ladybower in the Peak District is always looking for ways to reduce the centre’s carbon footprint. Old oil boilers have been replaced with modern heat pumps which now provide heating and hot water is provided by electricity. Hagg Farm has had solar panels on roofs for around ten years but new modern solar panels have been added which feed energy into battery storage. This will help the centre move closer to covering its own power needs from solar.
In addition six electric vehicle chargers have been installed in the car park which will be available for guests to use (and in the future hopefully provide charging for the centre’s future minibuses).
