‘Smallest town in Britain’ might also be the quirkiest.

Stay at Stonecroft Lodge in Llanwrtyd Wells.

A relaxing stay in the Smallest Town in Britain? Maybe not exactly – but you’re not likely to forget it!

Why not spend a week end at Stonecroft Lodge? They call themselves a ‘self-catering guest house’. Its a lovely spot in the glorious mountains of South Wales. Clearly it’ll be a great place for hiking, cycling and horse riding. The hostel has a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with TV and video, free laundry and drying facilities, central heating, a large riverside garden. Its right next door to the Stonecroft Inn which has a respectable reputation for good food and drink. Its a lovely spot in the glorious mountains of South Wales. Clearly it’ll be a great place for hiking, cycling and horse riding. But then, so are many other Welsh towns.

This lovely small town named claims the title of ‘the Smallest Town in Britain’ and it might also be the quirkiest! They’re very proud of the range of  fascinating stuff (check out this link for more) going on.  Let me just list a few: The Bog-snorkelling triathlon; The Devil’s Challenge; The world Alternative Games; The Man vs Horse marathon. Sounds a bit crazy and a bit fun doesn’t it? They’re also home to a host of attractions focused on the amazing local population of red kites – of course they’ve made a mad event out of it : The Red Kite and Cider bash!

I’m keen to know what they come up with next?
