The hostel is so close to the water you can tumble straight out of bed and into Loch Ness for a refreshing swim.
At The Lochside Hostel on the banks of Loch ness there is wild landscape and wildlife on all sides. From the dining room windows you have unbelievable panoramic views up and down the Loch. If you don’t fancy a swim, you can watch out for really wild life: pine martens, gold eagles, red deer – to say nothing of the real wild life prize of the area… The Loch Ness Monster!
The Great Glen walking route passes the front door and the End to End cycle route is nearby, close by the Monadhliath mountains are a little known treasure trove for walkers. Altogether The Lochside Hostel is a great base for exploring this patch of highlands or taking in the tourist honeypot around nearby Drumnadrochit and Urquart Castle.
