Short Breaks on Loch Lomand

Balmaha Bunkhouse has accommodation for the May Bank Holiday weekends! Make the most of the pre-midge season in our self-catering bunkhouse, right on the shore of Loch Lomond. Enjoy lochside walks and views. Bring yourself or your whole family. We have room for up to 13 people in four comfortable bedrooms.

We welcome guests in wheelchairs. All bedding and towels are provided. Guests share two bathrooms and a common room with kitchen and laundry facilities. With a drying room too, and extensive outdoor seating and sunbeds in a private garden, Balmaha Bunkhouse is well-equipped to host families and small groups as well as backpackers walking the West Highland Way.
Kitchen facilities include: electric hob, oven, microwave, toasters, kettles, fridge freezer, and sink. We have laundry facilities in the form of a washer-dryer combo, as well as a clothes line in the outdoor seating area. The common room also has a selection of books, board games, and a smart TV.
Breakfast cereals, bread, butter, milk (semi-skimmed), tea (black, green, and camomile), and coffee are complimentary. Soya milk can be supplied on request.
Balmaha is a tiny village on the east side of Loch Lomond, less than an hour’s drive away from both Stirling and Glasgow. With a waterbus link to Luss on the west side of the loch, Balmaha is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring Britain’s largest lake and the National Park.
