Shining Cliff hostel is set within Shining Cliff woods, a historic woodland and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) alongside the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site, Derbyshire.
The hostel accommodates 20 people in 5 bedrooms, with a self-catering kitchen, dining area and lounge area. There are 3 bathrooms; each with a sink, shower and modern composting toilet. Access to the hostel is half a mile along a woodland footpath from the car parking area. It can also be accessed by foot from the nearby train station and bus stops at Ambergate. It is a superb location and hostel for those looking for group get-togethers in a tranquil, beautiful woodland setting.
To hire the hostel is £280 per night – this works out at £14 per person if you have a group of 20. The hostel can also be booked by individuals or smaller groups at £15 per person on weekdays.
