Alston YHA Sheep Isaacs tea trail

A long weekend is the ideal time to walk The Isaac’s Tea Trail and the perfect way to see the diverse landscapes of The North Pennines.

At just under 37 miles long the Isaac’s tea trail is the perfect mini long distance walk that can be done in 3 days, 2 days or even 1 day if you are super fit!
It takes in some of the best bits of The North Pennines from Roman Forts, ancient lead mines, waterfalls, rivers and beautiful open moorland full of curlews, lapwings and Oyster Catchers. You may be lucky and even see the rare Black Grouse! Alston Youth Hostel makes an idea place to start and finish the circular walk with great amenities and shops in Alston Town.
