You won’t be surprised to learn that the Peak District Holiday Barn is in the Peak District. More specifically, it is Wardlow Mires, near to Tideswell. Tideswell is a charming small town, with its impressive church styling itself The Capital of The Peak. It has shops, cafes and an excellent fish and chip shop!
What is surprising is the glorious quality of the accommodation. Firstly, its huge. A luxurious open plan capacious barn. Browse the photo gallery and you’ll see comfortable leather sofas, a well stocked and open plan kitchen – akin to the visible catering kitchens of gastro pubs, exposed stone work. Out in the garden is a barbecue area, fire pit and pizza oven. I can imagine evening spent convivially gathered around a range of fires, glass in hand, eagerly awaiting a hot slice of food.
Another surprise might be that the Barn offers wine tasting events, as well as more predictable climbing, abseiling and bushcraft.
