Kings Hostel, in Dollegau is perfectly located for a real Snowdonia adventure for groups of up to 42. For walkers, runners and cyclists the Mawddach Trail passes the grounds. Kings hostel has a great bike shed or you can hire bikes locally. For those that need a bit more altitude, you can access both the Pony and Fox’s paths up to Cader Idris straight from the front door! Coed y Brenin, with its world famous bike trails, is 10 minutes away by car. For some sea air and sandy beaches Fairbourne is just a 15 min drive away.

On the other side of the estuary, you will find Barmouth. Enjoy miles of sandy beaches, an interesting old harbour, shops, mini funfair, arcade and fish, chips and ice cream galore. On top of all this, there is a fantastic choice of adrenaline activities for the young at heart.  Choose from climbing, abseiling, exploring caverns, canyoning, coasteering, sailing, kayaking, white water rafting, zip lining, pony trekking and even surfing.
