…ideal walking territory…
There are two bunkhouses at Ollerbrook Farm, in Derbyshire’s Edale. Nab View, sleeps 18 in 3 rooms, whilst the smaller Stables Bunkhouse has 4 rooms sleeping 4 in each. Both are newly converted in the last few years but still retain plenty of the character of the 16th century farm in which they sit.
With glorious views over the justly famous Edale and a network of footpaths right outside the door, you won’t be staying inside though as this is ideal walking territory. The Pennine way starts pretty close by and walk will take you to Mam Tor, with its disappearing road; to Kinder Scout and its wild beauty; or to Ladybower Reservoir high up in The Dark Peak.
For a more sedate and certainly less windy trip, the village of Castleton – with its castle and caves; or Bakewell or Buxton are within easy reach.
A perfect place to get away from it all.
