Nidderdale Bunkhouse

What a great place! Luxurious, affordable, beautiful location.

The folk at Nidderdale Bunkhouse, near Ramsgill, Harrogate, have got modernity cracked. Not only do they have a very swish website, with online bookings, a 360 degree virtual tour and excellent reviews from Trip Advisor, but if you browse through their gallery you’ll see that the internal features are more reminiscent of your swanky ’boutique hotels’ than a former hunting lodge hostel in Yorkshire. You’ll still get that famous Yorkshire hospitality though. Nice.

Set in the stunning Nidderdale Valley AONB, it extends its mix of modernity and tradition by offering attractions as varied as the medieval Fountains Abbey, the Victorian ‘Oldest Sweetshop In the World’ in Pately Bridge, or the ultra modern landscape art of The Coldstones Cut (well worth a visit).

Of course there is also superb biking, walking, pot holing and climbing right on the doorstep.
