New Ing Lodge is a great place to meet fellow travellers on the coast to coast routes. The lodge provides comfortable accommodation with excellent food and beer. It is right on both the mountain bike route and Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk. Over your pint you will meet people coming west from Kirkby Stephen and those coming east from the Lake District, all with stories to tell. The C2C, Sea to Sea Cycle route also passes by six miles north and the occasional cyclist will be enticed by New Ing’s comforts.
