Looking for something different, with a challenge or two, or just an escape?

Carrshield Camping Bran located in a quiet valley within the North Pennines AONB, the last wilderness in England is just what you are looking for.

Whether you are looking for some winter fun, this is the snowiest place in England, although we cannot promise snow there will be a warm welcome. Alternatively, looking to unwind and escape the crowds, the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we can offer quiet seclusion surrounded by open countryside to explore at you own place.
For the active people there is the Long-Distance Footpath Isaac’s Tea Trail that almost passes by our door. Although only 36 miles long has a varied route and plenty to see on the way. It can be done in stages or as an ‘ultra’ challenge all in one go. For a quieter pace there are craft shops, art galleries and cafes in nearly all the villages around.
For exploring the history of the area there are Roman forts within a few miles and the spectacular Hadrian’s Wall only 30 minutes’ drive away.
So whether you fancy a winter break or coming during the summer we offer a little bit of everything, except beaches and crowds. Our website has details of things to do in the area and how to book directly with us at no extra charge.
