Lockerbrook Outdoor Centre, run by the Woodcraft Folk, offers a personalised residential experience for school groups in a peaceful, remote setting above Ladybower Reservoir. The centre sleeps up to 44 across a main bunk barn and additional twin rooms. Schools can choose fully supported stays with catering and instructor-led activities or opt for self-led and self-catered options. Pre-visits and video tours are available.
Lockerbrook Outdoor Centre, operated by the Woodcraft Folk, is located in peaceful isolation high above Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District. The centre offers a unique setting for school residentials, with spectacular views and a true sense of getting away from it all.
We accommodate up to 38 guests in our well-equipped bunk barn, which features 7 shared rooms. For larger groups, we also offer three twin rooms—two in the adjacent cottage and one in the West Barn—bringing the total capacity to 44.

At Lockerbrook, we only host one group at a time, allowing us to offer a personalised and flexible experience. Whether you’re looking for a fully supported residential with catering and instructor-led outdoor activities, or you prefer a school-led programme with the option to self-cater, we will work with you to meet your needs and budget.
We partner with a well-established local activity provider to deliver high-quality outdoor learning experiences tailored to your group. Alternatively, you are welcome to run your own activities if that suits your programme better.
