LlynTegid and The National White Water centre

Bala Bunkhouse provides ideal accommodation for those enjoying water sports nearby

Only a few minutes drive from the lake, LlynTegid and The National White Water centre, Bala Bunkhouse provides ideal accommodation for those who enjoy water sports.  The bunkhouse has storage for outdoor equipment and is set in acre of grounds bounded by a river and a stream.  The old Welsh stone building is light airy and with storage heating, fully equipped kitchen  and bunks for up to 26 people. The National White Water Centre is the home of white water rafting and kayaking in the UK.  The centre is based on the River Tryweryn – a real Welsh mountain river in Snowdonia National Park.  Although its a truly wild mountain river the Tryweryn’s water levels are dam-controlled so it’s rapids still thunder throughout the summer.  Enjoy thrilling white water, reliable river conditions and a beautiful natural environment all year round.
