In addition to the bunkhouse sleeping 16, Laxdale had wooden Wigwam camping pods
The wooden Wigwams have electric light, heater and electric sockets. There is a picnic bench outside each one and they have views over croftland to Laxdale river estuary and Stornoway. There are Wee Brave’ wigwams which sleeps 3 adults and 1 child or Big Chiefs Wigwams which sleeps 4 adults and 1 child. Sleeping is on a raised platform with mattresses and this cleverly converts to a seating are in the daytime with a table. The kitchen area has a fridge (with ice box), a microwave and a kettle. There is a toilet and shower block nearby and a laundry service is also provided on site. The wigwams are dog friendly and car park is available nearby.
