Shining Cliff hostel, the off-road woodland hostel, has one weekend left this year to book, on the 9th & 10th December. This is a great place to meet up with friends or family before Christmas as it is located in the midlands, but has an amazing ‘get-away-from-it-all’ feel as it is located off-road in a 600 acre ancient woodland!
Shining Cliff hostel is a well equipped, self catering accommodation that sleeps up to 20 people in 5 bedrooms (4 bed, 6 bed, 6 bed, 2 bed & 2 bed), with an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge area. The hostel car park is half a mile away, and the hostel is reached by walking along a woodland footpath, all your belongings can be portered using wheelbarrows which adds a huge sense of adventure! The woodland hostel has many wonderful walking options from the door, with suggested routes provided in the Explorer Pack in the hostel. There is a stunning hostel fire pit that nestles against the Shining Cliff crag that give the hostel and woodland their name. There is also the White Peak Distillery at the bottom of woodland, where you can walk through stunning woodland from the hostel to go for a tour if you book in advance. We are super proud of Shining Cliff hostel and love the amazing memories that people have created here over the 80 years it has been a hostel, come and see for yourselves!
