Celebrates 75 years of sustainable walker-friendly accommodation

Kirk Yetholm Friends of Nature House is celebrating 75 years of sustainable walker-friendly accommodation. Once part of the SYHA but now an independent hostel, promoting international sustainable tourism with Friends of Nature.  In the Scottish Borders, right at one end of the Pennine Way.  Its a great hostel promoting green tourism and committed to funding  NFI and IYNF for the next 5 years.

Depending which way you’re travelling you could have an early start or an extremely well-earned rest here. The Pennine Way is Britain’s most iconic long distance footpath. Over its 268 miles you can experience some of the best upland walking, taking in moors, forests, waterfall as well as landscape art, pretty villages and breathtaking views.

I imagine that’s just the sort of thing that Friends of Nature was set up to encourage.
