Kirk Yetholm Hostel has been upgraded to 3 star rating by the Scottish Tourist board, Visit Scotland.
Kirk Yetholm Friends of Nature House, has been upgraded to 3 star rating by the tourist body Visit Scotland. The hostel, part of Friends of Nature, hold this award along with the Walkers Welcome and Cyclists Welcome tourist board awards, which shows how ideal the accommodation is for outdoor enthusiasts. The hostel has been enjoying ongoing improvements over the last 5 years with £7k spent last year on window renovation and a new colour scheme. Previous changes include the creation of smaller bedrooms, upgraded kitchen facilities and the green improvements including solar thermal for hot water and wood burning stove for heating and water.
