Slack House Farm, is just a field away from the Birdoswald Roman Fort which is well worth a visit. It is home to some of the best preserved parts for the wall. Hadrian’s Wall will spread as far as the eye can see. There is also a Roman fort, a turret and milecastle to explore. This organic dairy farm is home to a herd of beautiful Ayrshire cows and the Birdoswald Organic Cheese Dairy as well as a farm shop, so you can sample the great things the farm has to offer.
