All Stretton Bunkhouse can provide a cheap and comfortable base for just yourself or you and your friends and family, allowing you to spend more on Christmas
Church Stretton – sometimes called ‘Little Switzerland’ – has some exceptional independent shops offering a wide range of different products. Start off at the bottom of Sandford Avenue with the Chocolate Shop – dare you to go in there without coming out with a present or two and a little something for yourself. The Outdoor Shop will answer the question of what to buy the adventurous ones; Kaboodle, Rainbow’s End and Pepper’s all have clothes and gifts; the Craft Shop for those talented knitters, tatters and crochet individuals; John Thomas can do you some amazing flowers and plants – and something for the four legged critter in your life. Up on the High Street, visit the Door Knocker company for your Moon Gazing Hare or the newly opened gift shop in the Old Bank which has a stunning range of stock. Then finish off with some Christmas Fare from Saxtons or Entertaining Elephants or coffee in cake in any one of Stretton’s superb cafes. You can have your evening meal there or come back to the bunkhouse to cook for yourselves or visit our local pub which is a short walk from us. If you’re worried about carrying all that shopping back, there is a bus which stops at the Batch Valley Rd, 10 minutes from the bunkhouse. Not bad for a little town!
