Back in early February, 2021, a huge film crew and a star-studded cast descended on the tiny village of Portsoy. Shrouded in mystery and unchanged by the relentless passing of time, it is no surprise that the sleepy village of Portsoy was chosen to shoot the 6th series of Peaky Blinders.
The village harbour was given a Peaky blinders makeover. The port looked like it stepped right out of early 1900s France. And the currently closed Shore Inn was given the Peaky Blinders treatment too! The interior was revamped into the fictional Hotel Lanaan in true Peaky Blinders style; dark and rundown with tattered windows and a ragged sign. You can practically smell the sweat and whisky!
Peaky blinders star Cillian Murphy was seen enjoying the beautiful Portsoy beaches and indulging in ice cream from Portsoys award winning ice cream parlour.
