Glasgow Euro Hostel is the perfect rest day during The Great North Trail

The Great North trail stop off in Glasgow

After briefly passing through Edinburgh, the Great North Trail takes a sharp Eastern turn as it heads, cross-country, towards Glasgow. This 53-mile stretch is fairly easy, even for a novice cyclist and passes by some beautiful scenery. This section would be a perfect challenge for a family or cyclists with less experience who want to take the route at a leisurely pace.

After a night in Edinburgh and possibly some wild camping, the route skirts around the outside of Glasgow, but why not stay at Glasgow Euro Hostel in the centre of  Glasgow to recuperate and explore the city? The hostel is located by the River Clyde, only 5 mins walk from Central station and the bottom of Buchanan street. The city is known for its lively nightlife and friendly locals so it is the perfect place to explore after this section of the journey.
