The famous lake boasts a wide selection of enticing activities like paddle boarding, the hostel works closely with a local company that will make hiring and using the boards incredibly simple. If paddle boards aren’t quite your thing why not explore the lake on a boat, you can climb aboard lake cruise tours or hire your own if your feeling brave. If being on top of England’s largest lake isn’t enough for you why not try open water swimming, Lakes Hostel has partnered with south lakes swimming who make swimming in the lakes fun, accessible and safe.

The villages of Windamere and Bowness offer a huge amount to do with a large selection of independent shops and cafes including the 2019 AA Pub of the Year ,Craft Baa. Lake district legend Beatrix Potter penned Peter Rabbit on the other side of the lake at her iconic house ‘Hill Top’  additionally The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction in the heart of Bowness.
