The Old Brooder, sleeping up to 22 guests, is a perfect place for several families or groups of mothers and children to spend a midweek or weekend half-term break – with a Special Offer for Families: £1,000 for up to 10 guests for a min 2-night midweek or weekend break, and extra guests @ £80pp.
Bring your wellies and warm coats … We’ve got a family-friendly pack of activity ideas to do on the farm outside in winter including scavenger hunts, den building, finding fairies, be an archaeologist, tree-hugging, winter wildlife migration trails, clues from poos, animal detective. And when you’re done with being outside find a good board game or enjoy a good film in our cosy sitting room.
The Old Brooder is situated down a long farm track with farm trails and woods to explore. And our activity ideas have been created over 30 years of hosting school trips in all weather and at all times of the year! So if you want to get out the children out into the bracing February countryside, and let off steam, we’ve got ideas to tempt your children. Also children can bring their bikes and cycle round our hard farm tracks, and teenagers over 16 and adults can borrow our fleet of road bikes and explore our quiet country lanes. The Old Brooder is super warm and cosy so when you’re done outside, come in, feast on toasted crumpets and settle down to a good board game (we’ve got lots) or watch a film snuggled on a sofa.
