Colin Trigg, the new owner of Youlgreave Hostel has been in the news recently. He has been interviewed on Radio 4’s World at One (13 July) and BBC Breakfast (14 July). Why’s that you may ask? Well, he is a shining example of someone who has taken the plunge and bought a former YHA hostel.
This iconic hostel, housed in the village’s old Co-Op store, has undergone an extensive contemporary upgrade. Part of the ground floor has been converted in to an artisan bakery & cafe, which to our knowledge makes it the only hostel in the country with an on-site craft bakery. What a treat to wake up the the smell of freshly baked bread!
While continuing an association with the YHA via a franchise scheme, Youlgreave Hostel has now joined the ranks of the 320+ independent hostels in our network.
If you fancy exploring the wonderful Peak District, Youlgreave Hostel is in a prime position. Don’t delay, with all this publicity, rooms are sure to get booked up real fast.Find out more about Youlgreave Hostel
