Artists have gathered here for generations to experience the amazing light and atmosphere of the Northumberland coastline, castles and countryside. The stunning scenery is hugely inspiring for art lovers and provides a peaceful haven for those seeking to develop their painting skills.
A break at Seahouses Hostel provides the ideal opportunity to combine a leisurely stay visiting local studios, galleries or joining in with an art class or workshop of which there are many – or simply finding a spot and being inspired by the stunning scenery that surrounds you just as one of our most recent guests did!

En route he has produced some beautiful water colours – one of which you see here. Probably working some of them into oils on his return home, they will be on sale in the Autumn. Please see his website for further information – rmackenzieart.com.
