Exciting new developments at Witherslack Cycle Barn

Cyclists and walkers alike have been flocking to Witherslack Cycle Barn, (Grange over Sands, Cumbria) since it was opened. Such is the demand that a separate lodge, a new BBQ area and a fire pit area being built. They should be ready this Summer.

Ideally situated on the very popular Sustrans Walney to Wear Coast to Coast 70, midway on the Bay Cycle Way 700. It is also on the Lakes & Dales Loop and there local and national walking routes from the door.  Little wonder that is has become such a popular place to stay.

The existing 4 en suite bedrooms,  sleeping 14, have wonderfully unique names.  There’s ‘Team Sky’ (one bunk bed for 2 people), ‘Yellow Jersey’ (2 singles adapted for disabled), ‘The Peleton’ (2 bunks and 2 singles for 6 people) and ‘King of The Mountain’ (1 bunk and 2 small singles for 4 people).  Perhaps it’s this quirkiness coupled with the bright, clean and modern building that keeps the cyclists coming back.  Whatever it is, make sure you book in advance to secure one of the rooms.  Which one will you choose?
