The Barn at Ilderton Dod Barns, which sleeps 1-6 people, is available for August Bank Holiday. This ties in well, if you have any interest in farming because we’ll be making hay, and Glendale Show is held in Wooler on the bank holiday Monday – this is regarded as the county show of the north, and one of the last of the season. There are beautiful, quiet Northumbrian beaches just 15 miles away.
If this doesn’t appeal, there’s plenty more on offer – 1800 acres of our own access land, with thousands more beyond – ideal for walking, running, mountain biking, road cycling, horse-riding, wildlife spotting, archaeology, plus the skies will be getting dark again by then. Further afield, the beautiful, quiet Northumbrian beaches are 15 miles away, along with several spectacular castles – Bamburgh, Alnwick, Chillingham, Dunstanburgh, Lindisfarne etc.
