On Saturday 25 March, Arnside Independent Hostel will turn off its lights for one hour to show support for action on climate change.
On Saturday, 25 March 2017 Arnside Independent Hostel will participate in the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour event joining millions across the world in turning off its lights for one hour in a momentous show of support for action on climate change.
We are holding a special Earth Hour “Jacob’s Join” supper by candle/ torch light which will start at 8pm. We are inviting people to come to the hostel bringing with them a torch and a plate of food to share with others! At 8.30pm we will turn off the lights for an hour and eat by candlelight!
Donation boxes will be available on the night to raise money for the WWF’s vital work protecting the planet.
