Discover the World’s Steepest Street

Snowdonia has a new challenge this summer. Bunkorama is only 20 minutes from Harlech where you can find Ffordd Pen Llech, officially classed by Guinness World Records as the Worlds steepest street

Cyclists, walkers and explorers who have been staying at the Bunkorama, on the mountainside overlooking Cardigan Bay, have had a new must see event this summer and that is a trip to walk down or cycle up the steep ancient street that winds its way up from sea level almost to to the entrance of the Harlech Castle World Heritage site.. Cricket fans will know that New Zealanders must have been so disappointed at losing to England and Wales in the final of the cricket world cup by a whisker. But their upset was even greater when they found out that Ffordd Pen Llech has been officially recorded of being at a gradient of 37 per cent –a whisker of a mere two per cent steeper than the previous record holder in Dunedin New Zealand.. But the best news is that Bunkorama amazingly has plenty of space available if you want to visit the area this August bank holiday.
