Crookstone Barn provides an ideal start to your Pennine Way adventure.

Situated on the eastern slopes of Kinder, at 1160ft it is just a mile from the summit and three miles (mostly downhill) through the vale of Edale to the official start. The barn sleeps up to 23 in 5 rooms and has electricity and open fires. The Pennine Way skirts the western side of the Kinder plateau so here’s your chance to explore the eastern flank and warm up those legs ready for the amazing challenge that lies ahead.
