Cragg Farm Camping Barn, with its stunning views over Buttermere, has once again become part of the Independent Hostels UK network. The camping barns of the Lake district offer a great way to get back to nature in stunning surroundings, without having to carry a tent. Cragg House Farm has an 8 bed camping barn and a cottage for two, for those who require more comfort. Camping Barns were created by the YHA to provide accommodation in remote spots for walkers and cyclists. Often on farms, these simple barns were always independently owned, and the YHA is removing its last support from them at the end of this month.
