Cooking under the stars

After a day exploring what could be better than cooking and eating under the stars at the side of a river, we can provide the setting, you just need to book your stay.

The October half-term is almost upon us. Have you got something planned? We have still got vacancies for the week, so look no further. There are walks or runs from the door, moors to wander, and valleys to explore. History abounds throughout the area, so museums, art galleries, and cafes can help out if the weather is inclement.
The Autumnal weather is now with us, cooler temperatures and shorter daylight hours. Although many of the birds have now left the higher moorland areas, heading for warmer climates. We can still offer you not only a warm welcome but also a cheery fire to warm you up after your day’s adventure around this fantastic area. Each of our three rooms come complete with a log/multi-fuel burner, and we provide a basket of logs free of charge to help keep you warm. Should you want to watch the stars at night, then the dark sky above Carrshield is excellent; you can also keep you warm out there as there is a fire circle that our guests can use.
Are you planning a significant group activity next year, or even this year for those brave individuals? Then Carrshield Camping Barn is just the place, our three rooms will take 18 people, whilst others can camp in the area just south of the building. You could even go back to basics and enjoy cooking on an outside fire; it always makes the food taste extra special. Camping is for overflow only, not as an alternative to hiring the rooms.
We are already looking at taking bookings for 2022, so ensure that you do not miss out.
