Looking to unwind? How about staying at Shining Cliff hostel, an off-road hostel located in the heart of Shining Cliff Woods, an ancient woodland in Derbyshire?
You can hire your own private room from Sunday-Thursdays, or hire the whole hostel, that sleeps up to 20 people in 5 bedrooms, on the weekends.
You can arrive by train or bus at Ambergate and we will send you the walking directions to get from Ambergate up to the hostel, or you can arrive by car and use the woodland car park, from the car park the adventure then starts as you porter your belongings along half a mile of woodland footpaths using our wheelbarrows, to the hostel in the woods!
The hostel is fully heated, has an open plan lounge, dining area and self catering kitchen. It also has a stunning fire pit situated at the base of Shining Cliff crags next to the hostel.
We offer bespoke woodland sessions, such as Forest Bathing, guided walks, firelighting, campfire cooking, treasure hunts and woodland crafts that you can add to your hostel booking. You can also book a day and join in with some of our monthly sessions, such as our volunteer conservation group, our Nurtured By Nature days or our social Campfire Chat sessions.
