Walking & Cycling around Eden’s Yard Backpackers.
The hostel is situated to the west of Eden, on Route 2 of the National Cycle Network – Eden’s Visitor Centre is a mere 500 m to the east, as the crow flies! The walking and cycling routes in the area enjoy some beautiful countryside and some have sea views across St Austell Bay. There is plenty of wildlife and seasonal opportunity to enjoy natures fruits from the plants along the way.

The Clay Trails are suitable for walking and cycling, with much of the network off road and can take the cyclist or backpacker inland over the high ground or to the coast at Carlyon Bay or Par, just 3 km to the south and 4 km to the south east, respectively.
The Saints Way is the ancient pilgrimage route from Padstow to Fowey and the nearest point is just 2 km to the east, on the other side of the Eden Project.
