Nestled in a valley of the North Pennines AONB Carrshield Camping Barn provides the perfect place to escape to for a different kind of Christmas.
Not only is it the last wilderness in England, but also the snowiest. Although we cannot promise a White Christmas, these is more chance with us than elsewhere. We have been sledging and snowboarding on Christmas Day, what a laugh and great memory.
Each room has a log fire to keep you warm as the temperature drops; the thick walls of the original old Mine Shop help keep the cold winds out. But the days are full of opportunities to walk, cycle, run or laze around and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the area.
We have walks or runs that will take you from our door over the fells and moors, or more leisurely along the valleys, with Isaac’s Tea Trail nearby. The quiet lanes of both Allen Valleys lend themselves to scenic cycling, with the possibility of doing some off-road along tracks and Bridleways. Remember to tell Santa where you will be.
Check our website and Facebook, we could be just what you are looking for, we still have vacancies around the Christmas weekend.
