What better  an end to a thrilling day’s mountain biking than relaxing in this cosy, comfortable self catering hostel. Tucked away from civilisation, you will have the forest, its wildlife and Northumberland’s spectacular dark skies as your companions.

The Sandstone Way is a new mountain biking route between Berwick on Tweed and Hexham. It follows North Northumberland’s sandstone ridge and links numerous sandstone crags, features and out crops.  Take this route and you will cross an amazing ever-changing landscape, rich in history, geological features and iconic scenery.  Around 120 miles long the Sandstone Way passes the door of  Chartners Farm,  some 40 miles north of Hexham, perfect place to rest your aching limbs, recharge and savour complete peace and tranquillity.
