Charming North Pennine bunkhouse is still free over August bank holiday.

Sleeping up to 15 with space for more in tents, Barrington Bunkhouse could be the answer to that old question, ‘where shall we go to avoid the crowds this August Bank Holiday?’. The bunkhouse is in the sleepy village of Rookhope in the Wear Valley. “The Weardale Show” in St. Johns Chapel, only about 6 miles away, just happens to be on Saturday 27th August. It’s a really nice small country show and well worth attending.
If cycling is your thing, we are directly on the C2C (coast to Coast), a welcome stop-over at the end of the 2nd day. Alternatively if you are a walker we are directly on two walks; The Weardale Way and The Pennine Journey.

Whatever your plans, a warm welcome awaits you at Barrington Bunkhouse.
